About Oasis Scholarship (Pre-Matric & Post-Matric)
The OASIS Scholarship is a West Bengal state-funded program for SC, ST and OBC students. OASIS stands for Online Application for Scholarship in Studies. It is jointly managed by the Backward Classes Welfare Department and the Tribal Development Department, with funds disbursed directly into students' Aadhaar-linked bank accounts. Pre-Matric covers Classes 9–10 (SC/ST), Classes 5–10 (OBC) and Classes 1–10 for children of workers in hazardous occupations. Post-Matric covers Class 11, undergraduate, postgraduate, ITI, polytechnic and professional degree students.
