Renewing your UP Scholarship means telling the government you are still studying, updating your latest marks and fee receipt and asking them to continue your scholarship this year too. No new account, no starting over.

About the Scheme
The UP Scholarship helps students from Class 9 up to graduation, post-graduation, and diploma courses cover their education costs. It covers General, SC, ST, OBC and Minority students, and has three parts:
- Pre-Matric – Class 9 and 10
- Post-Matric Intermediate – Class 11 and 12
- Post-Matric / Dashmottar – UG, PG, diploma, and other courses after 12th
If you were already approved once, you’re now a “renewal” student, not a “fresh” one.
Who Can Renew (Eligibility)
You can renew if:
- You’re a permanent resident of UP (a separate option exists if you study outside UP)
- You already got the scholarship last year
- You passed or got promoted to the next class
- Family income is under Rs. 2 lakh (General/OBC/Minority) or Rs. 2.5 lakh (SC/ST)
- Your bank account is Aadhaar-linked
Renewal isn’t a fresh competition — it’s mostly your college confirming you’re still enrolled and passing your form ahead. Keep your documents ready and you should be fine.
