- Your parents’ or guardian’s total yearly income is up to 8 lakh.
- You study a graduate or postgraduate course at an institute on the DEPwD list. This list has 375 institutes, including IITs, NITs, IIITs, IIMs, National Law Universities, AIIMS, IISERs, NIFT, NID, IISc, ISI and TISS.
- Your course is full-time and regular. Distance, part-time and weekend courses are not allowed.

Benefits: How Much Money Do You Get?
| Benefit | Amount |
|---|---|
| Admission and tuition fee | Up to 1.90 lakh per year (actual fee) |
| Other compulsory fees (library, sports, medical exam) | Up to 10,000 per year |
| Laptop or computer | 45,000, one time in the first year (bill needed) |

You will not get the 30,000 device grant if you took help under the ADIP scheme in the last three years. The scholarship continues every year until your course ends, as long as you pass to the next class and keep good attendance and conduct.
How Is the Selection Done?
Meeting the rules does not guarantee a scholarship, because there are only 300 slots and old students (renewals) are served first. New students get only the slots that are left. The selection works like this:
- Merit: Your disability percentage on the certificate decides your rank. Specific Learning Disability is counted as 40%.
- Tie: If two students have the same percentage, the older student gets priority.
- Girls’ quota: 50% of slots are kept for girls. If not enough girls are eligible, boys get the remaining slots.
- State-wise slots: Slots are shared among states based on the number of eligible applications and the state’s disabled population.
